8:45pm – 9:30pm Local experts talk and answer questions about
                          foreclosures, how to avoid them and
                          what our community and neighbors are doing to help.

Pick your tickets up on the evening of the film, Thursday, Feb. 4, between 6:00pm and 6:30pm.

After 6:30pm, we’ll give away any tickets that have not been picked up.

Before the film starts, learn more about local efforts to stop foreclosures. Many nonprofits organizations, agencies and government officials will have information tables and displays, as well as staff people there to explain and answer questions.

After the film, we’ll have a panel of people highly engaged in stopping foreclosures and healing our neighborhoods give brief synopses of their area of expertise and take questions from the audience.

Foreclosure Response is partnering with the Black Hills Citizens for a Better Community
so neighbors can learn more about how foreclosures are effecting their community and what actions they can take.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. Home foreclosures have increased dramatically in the past four years, hitting several Kent County communities and Grand Rapids neighborhoods particularly hard. From 2004-2007, rates of foreclosure jumped 176 percent overall in Kent County, and 179 percent in the City of Grand Rapid
